Surgeons and doctors cause more car accidents than any other workers

Nine of the top 10 occupations causing accidents are medical workers, according to analysis of 2m insurance claims

The worst drivers for causing accidents are doctors and surgeons, according to an analysis of 2 million insurance claims which reveals an extraordinary concentration of problem driving among healthcare professionals.

The analysis, by Moneysupermarket.com, found surgeons and GPs are nearly 100 times more likely to cause an at-fault accident while driving than a building society clerk.
